Pet Creation Rules

Pets are animals/creatures that you can control. These can be for combat, general roleplay, or as a mount.

    Spoiler:

Pet Base Price
Base Price is dependent on the classification of pet you decide to choose.
+ Comfort Pet: 50 Reol. The user may have up to 5 Comfort Pets as they're just around to provide comfort.
+ Combat/Mount/Messenger: 250 Reol is the base price. This doesn't include any Reol spent increasing the starting stats of the pet.

Pet Character Sheet
Once the Pet is approved, a member of staff will create a Character Sheet (In Approved Pets). A link to the approved pets will be placed in your Character Sheet. This Pet will have Character Requests JUST like a person to which the member of staff will update upon a successful Character Request.

Transferring Pets
You are capable of transferring ownership of a pet to another PC/NPC. To do so, this must be performed in RP. The new owner must have at least 5 Charisma in order to take ownership. You must make a post in your Character Request to transfer the pet to another player. You must then do a Character Request in the Pet's Character Sheet with the transfer. The one receiving the pet must then do a Character Request accepting responsibility for the pet. Once all of that is done, the name and link to Character Sheet will change on the pet to the new owner.

The Pet will operate as it should regardless of the Owner's Charisma. if the Owner has 10 Charisma, normally they could only make a pet with a maximum of 40 Stat Raises. However, if the pet was trained by someone with 20 Charisma, that pet can have up to 75 Stat Raises. If the Pet has all 75 Stat Raises and is transferred to a new owner, the new owner will have a pet with 75 Stat Raises. However, if the pet hasn't reached maximum stat raises and the new owner has less Charisma (using the previous example), that pet cannot progress any further.
      Example:
Adventurer 1 has 5 Charisma and can only train a pet up to 20 Stat Raises
Adventurer 2 has 20 Charisma and can only train a pet up to 75 Stat Raises.
Adventurer 2 has trained the pet up 75 Stat Raises and transfers the pet to Adventurer 1.
Adventurer 1 has a Pet with 75 Stat Raises.

      Example 2:
Adventurer 1 has 5 Charisma and can only train a pet up to 20 Stat Raises
Adventurer 2 has 20 Charisma and can only train a pet up to 75 Stat Raises.
Adventurer 2 has only trained the pet up 40 Stat Raises and transfers the pet to Adventurer 1.
Adventurer 1's pet is now capped at 40 Stat Raises until Adventurer 1's Charisma increases.

Gaining Pet EXP
Pets gain EXP like players. However, in order to do this, the pet (comfort pets don't count as they can't gain EXP) must be in the RP with the user in order to gain EXP. Pets, themselves, do not count as a person and will not increase the EXP gained to all in the thread (If someone RPs with someone else's pet, that person will gain EXP equivalent to a solo RP). Pets must be RP'd every round in order to claim EXP for a thread. Pets will gain EXP at the same rate as that of the owner.

You are required to claim Pet EXP in their Character Sheet similarly to you claiming EXP for your player character.

Increasing Pet Stats
You are capable of increasing the Pet's starting stats, at creation, to a maximum of 10 raises using Reol. However, you may forego spending Reol at Pet Creation and, instead, use Pet EXP to increase their Stats. They increase their stats similarly to Player Characters by spending XPC, their own XPC, to increase their stats.

Pet Stat Limit
The amount of stat raises depends on the owner's Charisma.
+ 05 Charisma: Your pet may have up to a maximum of 20 Stats Raises -- no stat exceeding 10
+ 10 Charisma: Your pet may have up to 40 Stat Raises -- no stat exceeding 15
+ 15 Charisma: Your pet may have up to 55 Stat Raises -- no stat exceeding 20
+ 20 Charisma: Your pet may have up to 75 Stat Raises -- there is no limit to what your pet can have in any single stat.

Pet Control Limit
While you can own as many pets as you want, you are only allowed to control a certain number of pets within a single RP depending on your Charisma.
+ 05 Charisma: You are capable of controlling 1 pet at a time in an RP
+ 10 Charisma: You are capable of controlling 2 pet at a time in an RP
+ 15 Charisma: You are capable of controlling 3 pet at a time in an RP
+ 20 Charisma: You are capable of controlling 4 pet at a time in an RP
It is possible to mass train multiple pets and sell already trained pets to other people for a profit.

Equipping Pets
Pets cannot wield weapons nor armor. Pets cannot activate/attune to anything regardless of the item.
Mounts are capable of being equipped with saddlebags.

Pet Death
Pets can die just like their owners. If they are killed, they cannot be brought back. Once dead, their Character Sheets will be locked and they will be added to the Dead Pets. Necromancers are capable of summoning these pets at their leisure.

Pets Continue Fighting
If they are with their owner and their owner dies in combat, a Combat Pet will continue to fight even after the Owner has been killed. They will continue to fight until the enemy kills them or until the enemy flees. If the enemy flees with a living pet, it will be considered abandoned.

Abandoned Pets
You can ultimately abandon a pet if you so choose. The thread that you abandon the pet can be entered within 1 IRL month and anyone (except your own alt) can come by and take the pet after it is abandoned.

Pre-Made Pet Perks
You are capable of either creating Custom Pet Perks or use one of the following pre-made Pet Perks:

      Flight
Perk Effect: Allows your mount to fly. They will fly at speeds equal to their Speed Tier. If this is placed upon a mount, the mount can fly. Only mounts that COULD fly are capable of flight. Flying Horse = Bad | Pegasus = Good

      Marine
Perk Effect: Allows your mount to swim and submerge underwater, capable of holding their breath for an elongated amount of time (up to 2 hours on a single breath). This can be placed on a mount capable of swimming to act as a sea-faring mount or a submersible (you'll still have probably breathing underwater).

      Natural Armor
Perk Effect: Damage taken by the pet is reduced by -1 Rank (Rank 1 deals no damage, Rank 2 deals Rank 1 damage, etc). Will not be immune to Rank 1 Effects. Does not affect mental damage.

      Ranged Weapon
Perk Effect: Allows the pet to have a ranged weapon as one of their Natural Weapons. The Ranged weapon must make sense. A wyvern can breathe fire, a porcupine can shoot quills, etc etc.

      Spitter
Perk Effect: For a Toxic/Poison/Venomous pet, the pet is capable of spitting the toxin/poison/venom up to 20 feet away at 30 ft/s. The Toxic/Poison/Venomous Pet must have a poison apped as a Natural Weapon. Upon spitting the venom/poison/toxin, the pet cannot use it for 3 rounds while it recharges.

      Loyal
Perk Effect: Gains a +3 Charisma save against any action or status effect that would cause the user's pet to turn on them. This perk is removed if the pet is abandoned and can be replaced by something else by the new owner. The pet cannot regain Loyal if this is the case.

      Ferocious
Perk Effect:  Gains a +3 Charisma save against any action or status that would cause the pet to not attack such as a Pacification Spell.

      Pack Leader
Perk Effect: Only applies if the Pet this is on is a Combat Pet in combat with other pets owned by the same owner. The Pack Leader must have the highest number of stat raises out of all of the other pets. This gives all other pets +1 to all stats. There can only be 1 Pack Leader pet. Does not work on pets that have reached their maximum number of raises and does not work on two pets with the exact same number of stat raises.

      Born Fighter
Perk Effect: May only be affected on pure Combat Pets (cannot be dual-classed). This will allow the user to spend one of their SP to create a Skill Library specifically for that pet Breed. Only those with Born Fighter of the same breed can utilize that Skill Library. Skills must be trained as usual.

      Nightwatch
Perk Effect: May be applied to Mounts and Combat Pets. The Pet is capable of going 3 nights without sleep. This is useful to keep your pet on alert so everyone can rest while traveling. The Pet will initiate combat and alert those that are sleeping at a camp. This will awaken everyone after 1 round has expired rather than the usual 2.

      Tracker
Perk Effect: May be placed on a Combat Pet, a Mount, or a Messenger Pet. The Pet gains +3 Wisdom ONLY for the purpose of tracking (Perception).

      Vengeance Bounty
Perk Effect: When a Vengeance Bounty has been created, your pet has a strange sense of where the Vengeance Bounty is. It will directly take you to the precise location where the Vengeance Bounty is located. How and why this is the case is anyone's guess.

      Armor-Trained
Perk Effect: Allows the pet to wear up to Rank 3 Armor. The Pet cannot attune to any enchantments upon the armor.
