Draconians have a similar physical body composition to a mixture of humans and dragons. They stand upright upon their hind legs and are quite bulky in size and stature compared to humans. Male Draconians average at 6'6" tall with a much bigger and bulkier figure while the females stand at an average of 6'6" tall with a remarkably thinner frame. All Draconians have draconic snouts, some may have tufts of hair upon their head, a crest upon the top of their heads, and slit eyes similar to a snakes.
Some Draconians have horns protruding from their head with 2 major horns and smaller, spinier horns protruding from their face. Scales cover nearly every inch of their bodies. Unlike dragons, however, the Draconian scales are soft and offer little to no protection. Draconians also have a whip-like lizard tail trailing behind them. Strangely, however, the Draconians are warm-blooded and give birth to live-young rather than laying eggs and nursing the eggs. No Draconians have wings as they were taken away from them by the Dragon Gods.
Racial Bonuses
Draconian BreathDue to their lineage with dragons, the Draconians are capable of utilizing a breath weapon due to a gland in their throat. When creating your character, the user must state the damage type that their Draconian Breath will deal. The Draconian Breath weapon has a range of 15 feet at a 30° cone out in front of them. There is a slight wind-up time requiring the Draconian to take a deep breath in. The Draconian is capable of using this breath weapon 3x a fight with a 2 post/round cooldown between each use. This breath weapon doesn't have any secondary effects- Rank 1: (Free) Deals 1 damage to everyone within the area.

Dragon SenseA Draconian can feel the presence of a dragon nearby. Passively, they are capable of feeling the presence of any dragon or any draconic race within a 50 mile radius from them. While they won't know the exact location, they can 'feel' a dragon nearby. The closer the dragon is to the Draconian, the stronger this feeling. |
Lore
Also known as Dragonborn. Yes, one of the 5 Noble Races of Azulmonde created by the Dragons to become slaves to the Dragons. The Dragons made them give birth to live young rather than laying an egg to show the other Draconic Races that the Draconians were beneath all of them. Having been slaves for hundreds of years, the mistreatment and the perceived 'dispensability' made the Draconians have enough. A small rebellion was quelled against the Dragons with the Dragons casting them out of the home of the Dragons - Solmh Hagh and were cursed with withering wings.
Upon being banished from the mountains of Solmh Hagh, the Draconians became a tribal people living in harmony with the planet; finding home in the steppes of Florentz. They sowed their crops and hunted and gathered to survive. With each generation their wings started to grow smaller and smaller until their wings completely went away. When the last remaining wing remained in the slowly growing tribe, the tribe then split into two factions: Those who longed for their wings back and those who longed for freedom. Those who longed for their wings back, so they can take to the skies, built a home at the base of the Solmh Hagh mountains and stayed there praying to the Dragon God and begging for forgiveness -- this group came to be known as 'The Beggars'. Those that stay behind were given the derogatory name of 'Belly Crawlers'.
As the years rolled on, the Draconians started to build their own culture. At the age of 14 years old, each Draconian is given a choice: Stay within the tribe or 'strike out' on their own. Banishment is generally forbidden within Draconian culture as they still remember the trauma of the Dragons banishing them from their motherland. Those who decided to 'strike out' on their own generally become adventurers with their own plans and desires.
Draconians are often mocked for having been created as slaves, but most generally don't cross them due to their ferocity in combat.
