Training Skills

Prerequisites

The user must have access to the Skill Library in order to learn Skills within that specific Skill Library.
You must have access to the rank of skill you want to learn in the Skill Library. This can be achieved by increasing the rank of the Skill Library, opening up higher ranks for you to learn.

Manually Training Skills
There are two ways you can learn skills -- Manually takes the most effort but also grants a nice reward. In order to claim any of these manually trained skills (and bonus EXP) the user is required to leave the topic and do a Character Update in order to have the skills placed into your Character Sheet.

Word Count Minimum

If you wish to Manually Train Skills, you are required to meet a Word Count Minimum per skill depending on the rank. Just remember than you are required to meet the word count minimum (500 words for solo, 250 words for group RPs).

Rank 1: 250 words minimum
Rank 2: 300 words minimum
Rank 3: 400 words minimum
Rank 4: 500 words minimum
Rank 5: 600 words minimum

Manual Skill Learning EXP

This is bonus EXP for learning the skill manually -- for taking the effort to learning the skill. The user will gain a bonus EXP for that specific post that they learn a skill in (which applies to just that post). You will gain bonus EXP equal to the Rank of the skill (Rank 1 gives +1 bonus EXP, Rank 2 gives +2 bonus EXP, etc).

Auto Training Skills
Inversely, you are capable of Auto-Training Skills if you don't want to go through the effort of manually training skills. You are capable of Auto-Training Skills within a Skill Library that you own (of lower rank) through your Character Update. This means you do not need to meet a Word Count minimum in order to learn the skill. You may only Auto Train Skills of a lower rank. So if you have unlocked Rank 4 in a Skill Library, you can auto-train Rank 3 and below in your Character Update. You will get no bonus EXP for Auto-Training Skills. Ensure you specifically list what Skills you are learning (yes, you must list each and every skill you wish to Auto Train).

Learning Outsider Skills
Outsider Skills are simply Skills that you can learn that do not belong to a Skill Library that you own. You are required to have someone teach you an Outsider Skill through roleplay. The amount of Outsider Skill Slots you have will depend on your INT. Every 1 INT equals 1 Outsider Skill Slot. In order to learn a Magic Art Outsider Skill, the user is required to have a Magic Art Skill Library. You must also have 1 Skill Library at the Rank of the Skill you want to learn (if you want to learn a Rank 5 Outsider Skill, you are required to have at least 1 of your Skill Libraries at Rank 5)

How to Teach/Learn Outsider Skills
Yourself and your Teacher are required to write up an RP that is 2x the minimum word count required to learn a Skill of that Rank. Both the Teacher and the Student will gain the EXP Bonus for that Skill.

Overwriting Outsider Skills
In the event that you overflow your Outsider Skill Slots, Staff will indicate that you have overflowed your Outsider Skills. You will be required to either turn down learning the skill you are trying to learn or overwrite an old Outsider Skill. This will take the slot of the Outsider Skill that is being over-written.
