Potion Synthesis Rules
RequirementRequires the user to have a Potion Synthesis Crafting License. Crafting Locations All Potion Synthesis crafts will take place in one of 3 places- The Red Atelier: The main crafting location for Potion Synthesis
- A Medium Sized House: If you have a Medium-Sized House with a Potion Laboratory room, you are capable of crafting Potions in your house
- Potion Shop: If you have a Store (which requires a license) and you have Potion Synthesis License, you are capable of crafting potions in your store
Potion Carry Maximum To carry potions, you're required to own a bag, which can be purchased in the General Store. Potions will take up inventory size equal to the number of servings -- which is dependent on the phial used. You may only carry a maximum of 3 bags and the potions must be stored in the bags.

Potion Types The following are the types of potions you can create:
- Spoiler:
Types of Potions- Health Potions: These are potions that heal damage to the target's CON. There are also 2 sub-divisions of Health Potions.
- Burst Heal: These types of potions will heal damage when used. The amount of damage healed is based on the potion's rank.
- Rank 1: 1 CON healed
- Rank 2: 2 CON healed
- Rank 3: 3 CON healed
- Rank 4: 4 CON healed
- Rank 5: 5 CON healed
- Healing over Time: Healing over time potions, however, will heal less damage up-front but will heal more damage over-all.
- Rank 1: 1 CON healed for 2 rounds
- Rank 2: 1 CON healed for 4 rounds
- Rank 3: 1 CON healed for 6 rounds
- Rank 4: 1 CON healed for 8 rounds
- Rank 5: 1 CON healed for 10 Rounds
- Curative Potions: Curative Potions come in 2 categories:
- Reactive Curative Potions: Also considered antidotes. These will be used reactively to cure an effect after the effect has affected the target. So if a target is poisoned, they can drink an antidote of equal or higher rank than the poison to cure the poison. May only cure effects of equal or lower ranking than the potion's rank.
- Preventative Curative Potions: Preventative Curative Potions are capable of preventing a specific status effect. This can affect status effects such as burning, freezing, paralysis, bleeding, poisons, etc. This may only prevent effects of equal or lower rank than the potion itself. Will last for 1 round equal to the rank of the Potion used.
- Magic Potions: These are potions that heal MP rather than heal damage to CON. Magic Potions, however, only come as Burst Potions. The amount of MP it regains is dependent on Rank.
- Rank 1: 1 MP Regained
- Rank 2: 2 MP Regained
- Rank 3: 3 MP Regained
- Rank 4: 4 MP Regained
- Rank 5: 5 MP Regained
- Stat Potions: Simply put, these are potions that affect the target's stats. These can affect any of the 6 main stats. These will increase the user's current stats for a duration of 10 rounds. No stat may go over +3 to that stat.
- Rank 1: Up to a total of +2 to stats
- Rank 2: Up to a total of +3 to stats
- Rank 3: Up to a total of +4 to stats
- Rank 4: Up to a total of +5 to stats
- Rank 5: Up to a total of +6 to stats
- Effect Potions: These are potions that have some kind of status effect attached to them. If you've ever played the Witcher, you'll know what these potions can do. Potions such as "Dark Vision" can be created using this method. The effect of these potions will be scrutinized. The duration is equal to 2x Rank of the Potion.
Potion Delivery Method Potion has 2 delivery methods. The Delivery Method will determine how the target will be affected by the potion. Each Delivery Method has their own perks and their own downfalls.
- Spoiler:
Potion Delivery Method- Consumed Potions: These are potions that must be drunk by pouring the potion in the user's mouth and drinking it. Probably the easiest potion to make and use
- Pouring Potion: These are potions that must be poured onto the target and be absorbed by the skin. Useful for placing a potion onto an incapacitated target.
Potion Poisoning Over-use of potions can lead to poisoning. The user may only consume potions equal to 1/2 of their maximum CON. (So if someone has 16 CON, they can only consume 8 Potions before they are poisoned). This goes for all potion types. Potion Poisoning will start dealing damage to the target equal to 1 damage per rank of the Potion. Healing and Healing over Time Potions will no longer heal. All other potions will perform their effects but will deal damage to the drinker's CON.
Required Materials The user requires only 3 materials minimum in order to craft a potions. Potion materials can be purchased from Quests that may offer them as a reward or from Hilda's Potion Shop.- Potion Component: Each Potion is required to have 2 Potion Components. This is the main part that gives the effects to the potion. Both Potion Components are required to be of the same rank as the potion being crafted.
- Phial: Each craft requires a specific Phial. Each potion crafted will create 3 servings of potions, which will require either 3 small phials or 1 large phial.
- Potion Reagent: Reagents aren't required when creating a potion, but they do add something extra to your potions.
