Skill Library Creation Rules
RequirementYou are required to have available Skill Points. Your SP Slots can be expanded by purchasing them (see below) or perform a Respec and unlearn a Skill Library to make room for others. Skill PointsYou are given 1 SP (Skill Points) at Character Creation. You can unlock more SP by spending XPC. + 2nd SP: 50 XPC + 3rd SP: 150 XPC + 4th SP: 250 XPC + 5th SP: 500 XPC When you unlock SP, a member of staff will post "Available" in the SP if it wasn't claimed. Skill Library ChoiceOnce you have SP, you have 2 choices. You are required to have SP available to make this choice: + Take an approved Skill Library: You may choose to look at the Approved Skill Library List to see what Skill Libraries are available to you. You are capable of taking on one of these Skill Libraries (Weapon Art and Magic Art ONLY). + Create your Own Skill Library: You cannot make one at Character Creation. If you want to make a Custom Skill Library, you can hold your SP until after Character Creation and then you can create your Custom Skill Library. Follow the following rules on how to create a Custom Skill Library. Skill Library OwnershipUpon creating a Skill Library, it will be reformatted to fit the site's formatting. You, the creator, will automatically default as the owner. There are a couple of ways you are capable of losing ownership of a Skill Library.
+ Handing it off: Must be performed in Character Request. You can hand off ownership of the Skill Library to somon else. Both you and the receiver must state this in each person's Character Request. The person gaining the Skill Library MUST have the Skill Library + Switching Skill Library: If you are the owner and you switch this Skill Library out, you will lose ownership. Anyone else who has this Skill Library may claim ownership. Losing your Character: If you lose your character, the ownership of the Skill Library goes blank. If nobody claims it and you make a replacement character that takes it, you will be the owner of the Skill Library. + Going Inactive: If you go inactive, you will lose access to your Skill Library and will work similarly to losing your character. If you do not add an image, delete that coding. + Skill Library Name: Delete the SkillLibraryName and replace it with the name of your Skill Library. Don't be generic with the name of your Skill Library and name it something like "Fire Magic". Use a bit more imagination and call it something interesting like "Imperial Fire Magic" or something a bit more imaginative. + Description: This is the lore, how it's used, etc to let people know what they are getting themselves into. A bit of backstory would also be neat too. + Owner: Link to the owner's Character Sheet. + Art Type: Must choose one of the following: Magic Art Skill Library, Weapon Art Skill Library, Summon Skill Library + Skill Type: If this is a magic type, what kind of magic is it? Is this fire, healing, etc etc. If this is a weapon, list the weapon type (singular) that can be used with this Skill Library. If it is a Summon, you can apply an element to it or not. + Library Passive: Read the Passive Rules for more information + Number of Skills: Read the Number of Skill Section below. This will let others know -- as well as yourself -- how many Skills you're capable of having. + Library Weaknesses: List one or more weaknesses when it involves your Skill Library.

Only the Exampletons are capable of summoning the Great Spirit Wyrm. Owner: Sir ExampletonArt Type: Summon Skill Type: Spiritual Techniques Library Passive: Spiritual Guardian Due to the Spirit Ancestor being of spiritual make-up, they do not have a physical form and cannot suffer from poisons, bleeding, or any other ailments that would affect a living being.

Blacklisted Skills and Skill LibrariesThe following are blacklisted Skills and Skill Libraries. You are unable to make the following Skill Libraries and you will be unable to make the following skills due to various reasons -- which will not require explanation. + Necromancy: Only if you have the Necronomicon can you create Necromancy spells. Only the one who wields the Necronomicon can use Necromancy Spells. + Fairy Magic + Anything that is an instant kill + Time Magic + High Tech Magic + Gun Weapon Arts + Long Distance Teleportation/Portalling -- Anything that would be used to "portal" out of Eragia + God/Deity Magic/Summoning + Permanent Duplication + Permanent Creation Magic + Any Crafting Skills + EXP Stealing + Future-Telling/Fortune Telling/Future-Sight + The staff will update this list with whatever we deem appropriate at any time Ranking Up Skill LibraryEvery Skill Library has a maximum of 5 Skill Ranks. Everyone will start at Rank 1. These Skill Ranks are what determines your character's ability to learn specific ranks of Skills within a Skill Library. If you have Rank 4 in a specific Skill Library, you are capable of learning Rank 1, 2, 3, 4 Skills in the Skill Library. You are required to spend XPC in your Character Request in order to Rank up your Skill Library -- this only affects that specific Skill Library. + Rank 2: Requires 100 XPC to unlock. Capable of using/learning Rank 2 Skills/Summons + Rank 3: Requires Rank 2 Unlocked. Requires 200 XPC to unlock. Capable of using/learning Rank 3 Skills/Summons + Rank 4: Requires Rank 3 Unlocked. Requires 1000 TXP. Requires 300 XPC to unlock. Capable of using/learning Rank 4 Skills/Summon + Rank 5: Requires Rank 4 Unlocked. Requires 2000 TXP. Requires 400 XPC to unlock. Capable of using/learning Rank 5 Skills/Summon Ranking up your Skill Library will also grant you access to Summons of that rank as well as Summon Skills that the Summon, itself, can learn. Skill Library PassivesEach Skill Library (or summon) is capable of having 1 Passive.
+ Passive: This passive costs 200 XPC and can be unlocked by a user of the Skill Library at any time. Just having the Skill Library Passive will reduce the number of Skills you can have in your Skill Library by -5 Number of SkillsEach Skill Library will start with 25 Skills. There are ways to reduce this number depending on what you're making. + Skill Library Passive: Just having a Passive in your Skill Library will reduce the number of Skills in your Skill Library by 5. + Summons: A Summon Skill Library will naturally reduce your number of skills by 5 due to your Summon being able to be summoned at Rank 1 through 5. All Skill Libraries are Public!Once you create a Skill Library, a member of staff will reformat your Skill Library and add it to the "Approved Skill Library List". This will allow anyone that wants to take on your Skill Library to take on your Skill Library. This only applies to Weapon Art Skill Library and Magic Art Skill Library. This does not apply to Summon Skill Library.
In order to obtain someone else's Summon, you are required to have 1 SP available and the Owner of the Summon must teach you the Summon. Then and only then can you use that Summon Skill Library. Unlearning a Skill LibraryThis may only be done via a Respec. You can also replace a Crafting License that costs an SP via a Respec as well. You must, during a Respec, indicate which Skill Library/Crafting License you wish to remove. It doesn't require a Respec to fill in an emptied SP. Emptying a Skill Library will refund you all EXP invested into that particular Skill Library. However, you will lose access to any of the passives and Skills that belong to that Skill Library.
If you own the Skill Library that you are unlearning, you will no longer be considered the Owner of the Skill Library and the owner listed will be blank. The next person to take on the Skill Library will be asked if they want to become the owner of the Skill Library -- granting them the ability to modify the Skill Library without your input.
Once you unlearn a Skill Library, you will be unable to learn that Skill Library ever again as this character. Creating Skills for Skill LibraryOnce you are done creating your Skill Library, you now have to fill it up with skills of the same type. If you created a Magic Art Skill Library, all of your skills will be magic in nature. If you create a Weapon Art Skill Library, all of your skills will be physical (involving your weapon) in nature. You can also create a Summon Skill Library where it focuses on one or two different summons and the skills those summons can use.
