General Site Rules
    The Do-List
    These are things we would like to see you do. This applies to both the site and the discord (as they are intertwined).
      + Collaborate to write stories with other players. This can be one of tension, even if it forms a rivalry, friendship, or to be bitter enemies. The type of story you want to write is up to you.
      + Ensure there is a separation between IC (In Character) and OOC (Out of Character). Just because you may not like someone OOC does not mean you shouldn't participate in roleplays with their character. Keeping IC and OOC separated is a sign of maturity. If you can't keep them separate, you'll be removed from the community.
      + Build your character through roleplay. This isn't necessarily just building your character through combat but building history, building your character's personality, and even personal storyline. This will flesh out your character, make you grow attached to your character, and would make others want to RP with this character.
      + Follow the site rules and the discord rules. They weren't written for my health.
      + Show each other some level of respect. You might not like the person, but don't treat them as a lesser human being. Show some maturity and civility.
      + Of course, have fun.

    The Do-Not List
    These are things you should NOT do and may lead to punishment
      + Disobey Rules. They are there for a reason. Do not disobey them
      + Metagame: There isn't any weird system that makes things general knowledge -- there is no weird Renown System on this site. If your character did not witness it, you don't know about it. There will be leeway to particular events such as the invasion of a major city, the annexation of a town, a catastrophic event, etc. Those could be common knowledge (because it's common sense) even if the specifics are blurred.
      + Godmod: That's why we have stats. Don't Godmod.
      + Be "LolRandom": Your character is required to have some kind of motivation to do what they are doing. Making psychotic characters that are LOLRANDOM will probably be struck down by staff and return you to Character Creation.
      + Create a Character for other people: Mainly because every time this happens, something always goes wrong and leaves you in the dust. Create the character for yourself and if you so happen to interact with another character, then so be it.
      + Argue with staff: Staff might make mistakes, but they're also volunteers. If a staff member tells you to fix something, fix it. There is no immature "what about-isms". Don't be a child. Take criticism gracefully.
      + @Staff -- Abuse your power: Do not abuse your power. You will not be staff for long if you do that. This also goes for showing favoritism.
      + Flame others: This is just being abusive to other people. Calling them names and what-not. If it's done IC, fine -- but if you're going to be a jerk on discord then you'll probably catch a ban.
      + Flamebait others: Flamebaiting is basically goading someone to flame. Don't be a dickhead instigator.
      + Start Drama: You can go somewhere else if you want to spread rumors or start drama. This is a roleplaying community not a drama forum. Grow up.
      + Alienate other players: Do not alienate other players. This is a place to roleplay. Just because you don't like a certain person OOC doesn't mean your character does. This goes back to not differentiating between IC and OOC. You'll just be removed if you do this.
      + Trauma Dump: We don't get paid to hear your problems. While you can say "Wow, I had a crap day" don't tell people your life story and how it sucked. Not the place for it.
      + Constant Self-Deprecation: Similar to Trauma Dumping. A little is okay because it can be funny, but just don't.
      + Talk about Religion: Everyone has their own beliefs or lack-there-of. DO not push your beliefs or lack of belief onto others.
      + Talk about politics: This goes for actual politics and other things like Social Justice. It's your belief, keep it to yourself. Do not spread your political agenda. This is an escape, treat it as an escape.
      + Be racist/Xphobic/etc etc: Generally, just don't be a dickhead. Any slurs or what-not will be dealt with.
