Jewelrysmithing Rules
Requirement Crafting Location All Jewelrysmithing crafts will take place in one of 3 places
You are only allowed to wear 2 pieces of jewelry that have Runestones embedded into them. You may have more pieces of jewelry worn for the purpose of Rping. Format Jewelry
Required Materials Jewelry require a minimum of 3 materials that are Jewelry-Grade Materials -- 2 of the materials must be the metal for the jewelry and must be of the same rank as the Jewelry being created and the third must be a Jewel. The user may add more up to 2 additional materials (of lower rank than the item) to assist with Durability. Jewels do not add to durability. Jewelry Durability Taking damage from attacks will deal damage to durability with 1 damage = 1 damage to the Jewelry's durability. Once the durability reaches 0, the Jewelry is considered broken. A broken Jewelry cannot be used for the remainder of the thread. Jewelry will have their durability returned to full at the end of the topic. The durability of the items are dependent on the rank of the Jewelry-Grade material. Jewelry that breaks will basically just fall off of the user.
Runestone Slots All Jewelry will have up to a varied number of Runestone Slots. Unlike Armor or Weapons, Jewelry can have any Runestone attached to it from Stat-Raising (the only thing that can have stat-raising Runestones) to even Spell Runestones. Each Jewelry will start off with 0 Runestones, so it's up to the Jewelrysmith to 'drill' runestone slots into the Jewelry. The user may drill up to X holes in each Jewelry, each increasing the word count of creating the item by +100 words per hole drilled. Jewelry may only have Runestones of equal or lower rank attached to them -- only a Runic Mason is capable of embedding a Runestone into a Runestone Slot. While it may seem like a bunch of added words, it will increase the worth of any item to have Runestone Slots drilled out. You CANNOT drill Runestone slots into Shop-Bought Jewelry.
Jewelry Wielding In order to gain any benefits off of jewelry, the user is required to wear it or carry it in some fashion (after they have attuned to it). Stat-Boost Runestones Jewelry are the only things that can bare Stat-Boost Runestones. You may only be attuned to 1 Stat-Boost Runestone at a time. While you may own multiple pieces of Jewelry with Stat-Boost Runestones, you may only be attuned to one at a time -- which would be a good idea to swap between different jewelries depending on what your character will be doing. Same as Accessories? No, Accessories are different. They can be purchased or won as a prize but accessories cannot be created. |
