Poison Synthesis Rules
RequirementRequires the user to have a Poison Synthesis Crafting License. Crafting Locations All Poison Synthesis crafts will take place in one of 3 places- The Red Atelier: The main crafting location for Poison Synthesis
- A Medium Sized House: If you have a Medium-Sized House with a Poison Laboratory room, you are capable of crafting Poisons in your house
- Poison Shop: If you have a Store (which requires a license) and you have Poison Synthesis License, you are capable of crafting poisons in your store
Poison Carry Maximum To carry poisons, you're required to own a bag, which can be purchased in the General Store. Poisons will take up inventory size equal to the number of servings -- which is dependent on the phial used. You may only carry a maximum of 3 bags and the poisons must be stored in the bags.

Poison Types The following are the types of poisons you can create:
- Spoiler:
Types of Poisons- Damage Poisons: These are poisons that deal damage to the target's CON. There are also 2 sub-divisions of Damage Poisons.
- Burst Damage: These types of poisons will deal additional damage when used. The amount of damage dealt is based on the poison's rank.
- Rank 1: 1 Poison Damage
- Rank 2: 2 Poison Damage
- Rank 3: 3 Poison Damage
- Rank 4: 4 Poison Damage
- Rank 5: 5 Poison Damage
- Damage over Time: Damage over time poisons, however, will deal less damage up-front but will deal more damage over-all.
- Rank 1: 1 Poison Damage for 2 rounds
- Rank 2: 1 Poison Damage for 4 rounds
- Rank 3: 1 Poison Damage for 6 rounds
- Rank 4: 1 Poison Damage for 8 rounds
- Rank 5: 1 Poison Damage for 10 Rounds
- Magic Poisons: These are poisons that damage MP rather than deal damage to CON. Magic Poisons, however, only come as Burst Poisons. The amount of damage it deals to MP is dependent on Rank.
- Rank 1: 1 damage to MP
- Rank 2: 2 MP damage
- Rank 3: 3 MP damage
- Rank 4: 4 MP damage
- Rank 5: 5 MP damage
- Stat Poisons: Simply put, these are poisons that affect the target's stats. These can affect any of the 6 main stats. These will lower the user's current stats for a duration of 10 rounds (or until healed). No stat may go over -3 to that stat.
- Rank 1: Up to a total of -2 to stats
- Rank 2: Up to a total of -3 to stats
- Rank 3: Up to a total of -4 to stats
- Rank 4: Up to a total of -5 to stats
- Rank 5: Up to a total of -6 to stats
- Effect Poisons: These are poisons that have some kind of status effect attached to them. Items such as a Heavy Poison that makes it so someone isn't capable of jumping or a poison that makes someone more susceptible to a certain damage type. The effect of these poisons will be scrutinized. The duration is equal to 2x Rank of the Poison.
Poison Delivery Method Poison has 4 delivery methods. The Delivery Method will determine how the target(s) will be affected by the poison. Each Delivery Method has their own perks and their own downfalls.
- Spoiler:
Poison Delivery Method- Injury Poison: This type of poison must be either poured directly onto a weapon or poured onto a rag and then onto a weapon. Used to enter into the bloodstream through an injury created by the weapon. May only be applied to slashing/piercing weapons. Each use of the Poison placed upon the weapon will remain on the weapon for 5 rounds or until the weapon strikes the opponent. Each use of the poison will consume 1 use of the poison. The poison placed upon the weapon may be burnt away if the weapon is hit by Fire of equal or higher rank or hit by water of equal or higher rank.
- Gaseous Poison: This type of poison must be poured onto something that struck with Fire (any rank). The Fire will immolate the poison and turn it into a thick cloud. The thickness of the cloud will be determined by the Rank of the Gaseous Poison. The gaseous poison may be blown away by any Wind of equal or higher rank of the poison. Gaseous Poisons are also capable of spreading into a large cloud, affecting everyone within the cloud. The spread speed and maximum area depends on the rank of the Poison. Gaseous poisons will be required to be Rank 2 or higher and will have it's effects reduced by 1 Rank (so a Rank 2 Gaseous Poison will have it's effects reduced to Rank 1 Effect) -- It's DC, spread speed, and spread area will remain on-rank. If placed in a standard phial, can be poured. If placed in a breaking phial, can be thrown onto a location.
- Rank 1
- Maximum Spread Speed: 20 feet per second
- Maximum Spread Area: 10 foot radius around ignition point
- Rank 2
- Maximum Spread Speed: 30 feet per second
- Maximum Spread Area: 20 foot radius around ignition point
- Rank 3
- Maximum Spread Speed: 40 feet per second
- Maximum Spread Area: 40 foot radius around ignition point
- Rank 4
- Maximum Spread Speed: 50 feet per second
- Maximum Spread Area: 100 foot radius around ignition point
- Rank 5
- Maximum Spread Speed: 75 feet per second
- Maximum Spread Area: 200 foot radius around ignition point
- Splash Poison: Requires the use of a breaking phial. The user is capable of throwing the Splash Poison (using throwing rules) and have the phial break upon a target. Breaking the phial deals 1 damage to the target it hits and the poison splashes on the target, instantly affecting the target with the poison. If even a small drop of the poison touches a target, they will be affected by the Poison.
- Consumed Poison: Consumed Poisons area required to be drunk. Whether poured in someone's drink and having them drink the poison (even diluted) or pouring it down someone's throat. Unlike other poisons, Consumed Poisons will automatically affect a target that consumes the poison with a DC of 25.
Poison Difficulty (DC) The DC of the poison is dependent on the Poison's Rank and depending on whether the user added the proper reagent. The poison's DC will determine whether or not the target will be affected by the poison depending on 3 stats: CON (for poisons that affect the body), INT (for poisons that affect the mind), CHA (for poisons that affect the target's emotions)- Rank 1: 3 DC
- Rank 2: 6 DC
- Rank 3: 9 DC
- Rank 4: 12 DC
- Rank 5: 15 DC
Effected Stats Only 3 stats may be affected by poisons:- Constitution Poisons: These affect the target's Constitution. Anything that affects the body. Generally anything that damages constitution will always use Constitution as the Saving Throw
- Intelligence Poisons: Anything that is meant to affect the target's mind such as making someone dizzy or making someone forget will affect the target's INT and will use the target's INT as the saving throw.
- Charisma Poisons: These are poisons that affect the target's emotions such as charm potions, love potions, and poisons that would make someone go berserk. These would use the target's CHA as their saving throw.
Required Materials The user requires only 3 materials minimum in order to craft a poison. Poison materials can be obtained from Quests that may offer them as a reward or from purchasing them from Brogaag's Poison Shop.- Poison Component: Each Poison is required to have 2 Poison Components. This is the main part that gives the effects to the poison. Both Poison Components are required to be of the same rank as the poison being crafted.
- Phial: Each craft requires a specific Phial. Each poison crafted will create 3 servings of poisons, which will require either 3 small phials or 1 large phial.
- Poison Reagent: Reagents aren't required when creating a poison, but they do add something extra to your poisons.
